About This Game Zotrix is an arcade space shooter inspired by early shooter games on arcade machines from 80's and early 90's. The story is progressed mainly by following different routes from starbase to starbase. As far as I could tell, there was no feedback as to exactly how long was in each route. The backgrounds are all black with stars as the cargo ship you're 'protecting' moves from the bottom of the screen to somewhere in the middle of the screen.For upgrades, you buy resources and collect money through the various routes and space stations, which all offer their own slightly-unique selection of goods. They're nothing special: shields, added blasters, missiles/bombs, but adds just a little bit of customizability to an otherwise uninspired game.All in all, the game would benefit from a form of timer or distance bar, as well as having more variety during routes/missions. But, as I see it, the game is too bland to recommend for sh'mup fans.. cant get a ps4 controller to work properly for it, the controller setup is awful and says half the buttons are already mapped. looked like a promising game, going to refund.. Great game, simple, fun, and a good challenge.. The soundtrack is nice, at the start it's a bit too easy, looks like bullet hell, plays like a sniper game.. Fun game for about 5 hours then its really repetitive. After the first upgrade the challenge went away. You can work the resouces as you travel buying low where you are at and selling high where you are traveling to so credits become pointless after a while. I think this game should be $4.99 or less just due to the replay value being very low.. I could only stand it for about 1/2 hour.
